PramaCare will be taking part in the Glad to Care awareness week, starting Monday 6th July. The campaign was launched by Person Centred Software in 2018, with the awareness week in its first year, aiming to celebrate those who work in the care sector, especially during current challenging times.
With plans for the event to take place annually, the organisers are encouraging those who work in the industry, and the wider community, to take part in the Glad to Care awareness week to show carers that they are appreciated and to raise their morale.
The campaign provides the chance to promote the positives of care, and the work that is being done in the care industry, not just now during Covid-19, but year-round. Prama will be showing our support for our own team of Care Support Workers, who have continued to work tirelessly on the front line, alongside NHS staff during the pandemic, with social media posts throughout the week.
Speaking of Prama’s work in the Care sector, our Director of Care, Neil Stevens, said:
“Our care support team assist older people in the local area, helping them to remain independent in their own homes. Prama is currently supporting the NHS and BCP council, helping people returning home from hospital, and easing the strain on Local Authorities. We continue to offer our services to existing clients, whilst also providing support and care to those affected by covid-19.
The Glad to Care campaign allows the perfect chance to highlight the valuable work that our care support staff provide to the local community. We are proud to be a part of the care sector and hope to encourage others to show their appreciation for those who provide care to others”.
